UNEC applies an innovative and leading model in the country for funding scientific research on a grant basis. Since 2022, internal grant projects have been implemented at the university, and this initiative plays an important role in promoting scientific activity, strengthening the research environment, and supporting innovative ideas.
Currently, 10 international, 3 local and 9 intra-university grant projects are being implemented at UNEC. These projects create broad opportunities for the academic staff in terms of realizing their scientific potential, conducting applied research and achieving innovative results.*
Grants
UNEC actively supports scientific mobilization, international cooperation and knowledge exchange within the framework of Erasmus Creative Spark+, Jean Monnet and other international programs, and at the same time successfully participates in grant projects funded by the Azerbaijan Science Foundation.
As the first internal grant model in the country funded from a university’s own budget, this initiative is one of the main indicators of UNEC’s transition to a research-oriented higher education model. Within the framework of the competitions, selecting the most innovative and application-oriented research projects from dozens of submitted proposals ensures the sustainable development of the scientific environment at UNEC.
